[edit]DescriptionAdamsElectrotype1840.jpg |
English: April, 1841 illustration by Joseph Alexander Adams from the US magazine American Repertory. The illustration compares printing using a wood carving and using a copper electrotype made from the same carving. It is among the earliest images printed using electrotyping; for more than 125 years afterward, electrotyping and stereotyping were widely used printing technologies. |
