Description
English: Cast bronze figure of a prancing horse (handle from a drinking vessel), known as the "Silchester Horse", discovered by Reverend James G. Joyce in the Basilica of Calleva Atrebatum at Silchester, Hampshire on the 27 October 1870. Stylistically similar to the Uffington white horse, it may be pre-Roman in date. Reading Museum.
