Equipment
Hi, this is Kreuzschnabel, a German engineer of media technology and tech writer.
In the first place, I contribute photographs to Commons. I prefer to use Olympus gear over the widespread N… and C… brands, mainly for the excellent lenses Olympus makes (at affordable prices). Having started with the E-500 DSLR and advanced to the E-620 and E-5, I switched happily to the wonderful mirrorless, tiny OM-D Micro Four Thirds system in 2013, starting with the E-M5 and rounding the set out later with the phenomenal E-M1 as soon as it finally got shipped into my direction.
Images are frequently re-developed from RAW files using the RawTherapee software.
Oh, this is a microsoft-and-apple-free workplace. I use Linux systems (preferably Debian) on a powerful Lenovo Thinkpad, to which a AOC X24P1 monitor is hooked at home.
